I went a very different route this time for the "February Creative Character Challenge." I wanted to make a character that people could relate to instead of just find visually appealing. College has been a time for me to really get a grasp on the different views people have and it is sadly hard to find many people who are accepting of others who don't fit their idea of normal. It is important to understand that you should accept people for who they are even if they have flaws. Outward appearance isn't everything.
That being said, I wanted to create a manifestation of my beliefs with human interaction. When looking at someone you should understand that they have faced similar obstacles and times of happiness. They are like you and want to love and be loved. Your default setting should be kindness no matter the appearance. Now, I am not saying I always live by these words but I try.
Lucille is a Christian. She prays every night and reads the bible at least three times a week. However, she also like rock and smokes cigarettes. She is non-denominational and rarely goes to church but she is the kindest person you'll ever meet. She avoids judgement as often as she can, but she's still human. She is 18 years old and moved out of her father's house as soon as she could. Her mother passed away when she was young and her father hasn't been quite the same. He and her mother decided to name Lucille after B.B. King's guitar. She isn't too fond of being named after a guitar but who can blame her?
God bless and be kind to one another, please.
